Social Media is increasingly important for anyone promoting themselves, their products, or services – and it’s especially important for web designers. Matt Meeks, Vice President of Prophesee at Initiative, and the former Director of Audience Development at Warner Bros, share his insights into how web designers, and small business owners, can use social media to build their businesses and the services they offer clients.

From best practices in social media marketing to real-world case studies, Matt’s presentation will include an overview of social media strategies, as well as the latest and greatest tools for social program management and measurement.

Matt Meeks, VP Prophesee at Initiative

Matt Meeks’ background in communications, marketing and finance is strengthened by his global perspective and passion for creative thought, human expression and technology. Meeks has worked with top Hollywood studios, video game developers and publishers, leading talent, nation states and cutting-edge technology companies from a corporate, brand and product standpoint.

Starting his career in public relations for cable technology start-up companies, Meeks went on to lead the marketing initiatives for an investment advisory firm and emerging market hedge fund before co-founding, a consultancy dedicated to integrating PR, search engine marketing, design and development. In 2008, He moved to Los Angeles and founded B/HI Buzz, the social media and digital marketing division of Bender/Helper Impact Marketing Communications counting the First Annual Streamy Awards, Cristiano Ronaldo, THQ Corporate, Sony Online Entertainment, CBS Television, Digital Artists (CAA), Vivendi Entertainment, Paula Abdul, The Hub TV Network, Paramount Digital and Dailymotion among his clients.  Meeks has served as Communications Chair of the International Academy of Web Television, Co-chair of PRSA-LA’s Young Professionals and founding Co-chair of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Rising Professionals Committee. He is a current member of the TV Academy’s Interactive Media Peer Group and holds degrees from the University of Colorado in International Business and Economics. Recently having left Warner Bros. as Director of Audience Development, Meeks now serves as Vice President of Prophesee at Initiative.
